Our solid wood backplates are designed to complement the porcelain switches while offering a practical solution for a wide variety of wall situations.

Each backplate features a central opening, allowing the rear part of the switch to sit neatly recessed within the wood.

Because wall boxes differ greatly between countries, systems and building periods, the backplates are intentionally not fully pre-drilled. This allows them to be adapted to your specific setup — whether that requires additional drilling, alternative fixing points, or a different mounting approach.

Depending on your situation, the backplate can be:

• fixed to an existing wall box

• adjusted to align with screw points

• or mounted directly to the wall (for example with adhesive)

As every home is different, we recommend installation by a qualified electrician or experienced professional.

The backplates are especially useful when the switch alone does not fully cover the wall opening — which is often the case with modern EU wall boxes.
